VIGO COUNTY – Tuesday night just before 11 p.m. Indiana State Police spotted a pickup turn west onto Ohio Street from 3rd St (US 41). Ohio Street is one-way eastbound.

The Trooper attempted to stop the truck but the driver fled through the parking areas of Terre Haute City Hall and the Vigo County Jail and proceeded eastbound on Cherry Street (which is a one-way westbound street).

Police continued to chase the truck down Wabash Avenue, Ohio Boulevard, Deming Park reaching speeds of over 100 mph.

Eventually the truck came to rest in a field near the east Walmart and Meijer stores.

Officers arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile from Terre Haute.

The teen will face charges of Resisting Law Enforcement Using a Vehicle; Reckless Driving; and Criminal Recklessness with a Vehicle as well as multiple traffic violations.
