Two Injured In Monroe County Hunting Accident

MONROE COUNTY, Ind – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a hunting accident that left two Gosport men with gunshot injuries.

43 year old Eric Strunk and 48 year old David Dayhuff were turkey hunting on private property in northwest Monroe County.

Another hunter was walking along the field line, saw and heard what he thought to be a turkey, and shot the two men.

They were struck with shot from a 12 gauge shotgun.

Neither man’s injuries are life threatening.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 6:40 Sunday morning.

The investigation is still ongoing.
