SPENCER, Ind.— The Indiana Department of Transportation says that their contractor for the $8 million State Road 46 reconstruction project at Spencer is planning a lane shift Wednesday June 20th.
Road crews will shift lanes at S.R. 46-U.S. 231/S.R. 67 on the eastside of town as they rebuild the multi-lane intersection.
Motorists are advised to slow down and watch for signs.
Large trucks should consider alternative routes via S.R. 67 or Interstate 70.
INDOT officials anticipate this phase of work at the intersection to be completed within a week to ten days.
After that, all westbound S.R. 46 traffic will be shifted to new pavement on the north side of the roadway while reconstruction takes place in the eastbound lane and south shoulder area.
