ROCKVILLE, Ind. – A Bloomingdale man has been arrested for allegedly abducting a woman and holding her against her will.
Parke County Police say that 44 year old Chad Smith got into an argument with his estranged girlfriend and that he forced the woman into a bedroom and tried to suffocate her and then forced the woman into his truck and took her to his house.
He then allegedly forced her to write a suicide note before tying her up, gagging her and then boarding up all the house’s exits.
The victim then escaped after he untied her and then fell asleep.
Smith is being held in the Parke County Jail without bond on multiple charges.
