CLAY COUNTY, Ind – Just after 1 a.m. Friday ( 6/22/18) Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies were called about an armed robbery at the Speedway Fuel Center located on State Road 59, near Interstate 70.

A Speedway employee told police that a black male entered the store and displayed a handgun while following them behind the counter and to the cash register. As the employee hit the panic button the male left the store and fled the area on foot.

Officers say that surveillance video shows that at least three male suspects were involved in the robbery.

They are described as black males in their late teens early 20’s and were all wearing black hoodie sweatshirts. All three suspects are believed to be tall with a slender build.

Although the suspects left empty handed and no one was hurt they should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone recognizes the suspects from the pictures or has information regarding this incident, please contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
