Sony DADC Says It Hasn’t Lived Up To Tax Deal

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Sony DADC was scheduled to go before the Terre Haute City Council today to explain how they were in compliance with conditions for tax abatements granted by the council.
Sony says it does not feel the company is in compliance with its tax abatements and will not seek any deductions from its 2018 tax base.
Sony DADC admits the company’s employee headcount does not meet the requirements required by the tax abatements.
The Terre Haute facility opened in 1983 to manufacture compact discs.
