TERRE HAUTE, Ind – The northern portion of Terre Haute’s Seventh Street project could be open it as soon as Wednesday.
Road resurfacing and striping should be done today and the portion, from Hulman Street to Voorhees Street, could open as soon as Wednesday.
This section was originally slated for completion on June 27, however, steel natural gas lines were discovered in the project area, resulting in Vectren Energy relocating and replacing the lines with plastic pipe and reconnecting homes along the project area which has delayed the project an extra 59 days.
The relocation of a water line has added an additional 12 days to the project.
The Seventh Street project is now expected to be completely reopened to traffic on August 25th.
