VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – At Monday night’s Vigo County School Board meeting, members heard a potential timeline for the planning process of new Superintendent Rob Haworth’s Strategic Plan.
Haworth said the plan’s purpose is to address challenges within the school corporation.
Haworth said he expects that the board could approve the plan by the beginning of October and then dates for upcoming community meetings will be announced.
Those meetings will allow the public address school corporation leaders about issues impacting them and their families.
Those issues could be just about anything including curriculum issues, capital projects and more.
Also, at last night’s meeting Haworth said that the corporation will be reimbursed $40,000 from the Terre Haute Air Fair to cover the costs of drivers, fuel and busses that were used to shuttle Air Fair attendees to and from remote parking areas.
Grass parking at the airport became unusable after heavy rains the day before the Air Fair began.
