TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Later this afternoon (Wednesday 10/3/18) you will likely receive a text alert on your cell phone from FEMA who will be conducting a test.

The message is expected to come through around 2:20 p.m. eastern time and will test the wireless and Emergency Alert System.

The system allows the president to speak to the public during a national emergency and can also warn you of Amber Alerts or other important alerts or information.
