WASHINGTON — Indiana Senator Todd Young has been picked to lead the National Republican Senate Committee for the 2020 election cycle.

Young was as committee chairman Wednesday with support from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Republicans expanded their slim Senate majority during last week’s elections, defeating several Democrats running for re-election in states President Donald Trump won in 2016.
