Left Lane Law Results in Drug Arrests

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind —Friday afternoon around 2:30, an Indiana State Police Trooper was working along Interstate 70 and noticed a vehicle traveling in the left lane eastbound near the 40 mile marker traveling 57 mph in a 70 mph zone and violating the “Slowpoke Law” or Left Lane Law.

During the traffic stop the Trooper noticed several indicators of possible criminal activity.

A search of the vehicle turned up eleven pounds of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of $33,000 dollars. Also located were one ounce of suspected cannabis powder, twelve suspected controlled substance pills, and one gram of suspected methamphetamine.

Police arrested 30 year old Daniel Wade, of Longmont, CO and 25 year old Veronica McClam, of Beaufort, SC on various drug related charges.
