KNOX COUNTY, Ind.  – A Knox County man who pleaded guilty to attacking a Knox County teacher was sentenced Tuesday.

In August, Donovan Davis entered a guilty plea for attacking Vincennes Lincoln teacher Cheryl Clemons in May, 2016

Davis was sentenced to nine years in prison but will receive credit for time served and spend eight years on probation with 29 days in the Knox County Jail.

Two years will be spent on home monitoring.

Davis is also required to serve 800 hours of community service.

The attack left Clemons with severe PTSD.
