TERRE HAUTE, Ind – The Red Cross was called in to help several people after a fire Monday.

A total of eight adults and children from four families were left homeless after the blaze at the four-unit apartment building at 427 Oak St.

No one was injured.

It appears the fire may have been caused by an electrical problem but officials are continuing their investigation.
