INDIANA – Indiana State Police have increased their patrols for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Indiana State Police Sargent Todd Ringle says that last year between December 21 and Jan 1, more than 8,600 crashes occurred on Indiana roadways resulting in 1,520 injuries and 21 fatalities.

Officers remind you to buckle up, drive sober and slow down.
