INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – When Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award at the end of last season, he was given a Kia and on Sunday he gave it away.
Renita Hills is a survivor of domestic violence and Oladipo said she was a survivor and an inspiration so he gave the car to her.
Boomer, the Pacers mascot, gave a visibly stunned Hills the keys.
Hills works as an advocate with the Julian Center, which supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Indiana.
When @VicOladipo won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award, he was given a brand-new Kia.
Tonight, he surprised Renita Hills, a domestic violence survivor who now works with @juliancenter, with the keys to that car. 🎁🚗🔑 https://t.co/uliTCUc8uy
