Terre Haute Man To Stand Trial For Allegedly Impersonating An Officer

EDGAR COUNTY, Ill, – A Terre Haute man entered a not guilty plea in Edgar County Court Monday.

41-year-old Justin Hefner faces charges of impersonating a police officer.

Hefner was arrested on February 14 last year after he told sheriff’s deputies, he was a federal agent and asked them to help him in making arrests.

An AR-15 and numerous rounds of ammunition were found in his vehicle.

Hefner has been found competent to stand trial and is being held on $20,000 bond.
