TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute Police are continuing to investigate a social media threat made against a Vigo County high school.

At a press conference Thursday morning Terre Haute Police Chief Shawn Keen said that they became aware of the post Wednesday night a little after 10:00 p.m.

Detectives were able to trace the IP address to a local residence. Officers found six people in the home. Three adults consisting of one female and two males and three juveniles consisted of two females and one male.

Police say that no one has been arrested or is in custody and that all of those in the house were cooperating with officers.

All phones and other items in the house able to access the internet are being examined by police.

Police say that they did not find any weapons in the home.

There was an increased police presence at all 28 Vigo County Schools and police say that increased presence will continue as long as school officials and police feel that it is necessary. There is always at least one or more officers in every building every day.
