VIGO COUNTY, Ind.  – A possible plea deal in connection to the shooting death of a Vigo County teen.

A deal has reportedly been offered by the prosecution and a change of plea hearing is set for Tuesday for Nathan Derickson.

Derickson is facing charges in connection to the shooting death of Garrett Sands.

He originally entered a not guilty plea and a jury trial was set for March 18th.

Police say Derickson was playing with a gun when he shot and killed Sands at a house party in 2018.
