CASEY, Ill.  — Illinois State Police say a livestock hauler ran off the road and overturned on Interstate 70 in Clark County.

About 3,000 piglets were let loose. Nearly 100 piglets died in the crash Friday near Casey.

State police say the crash occurred due to driver illness.

Several state and local police and fire departments helped corral the piglets.
