TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A Terre Haute man appeared in court Thursday on a charge of rape, 16 counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
41-year-old Michael Courtland South allegedly sexually abused a young girl over the course of a year and four months.
Court documents indicate that DNA testing was conducted on a number of items found at South’s home during a search.
South is being held on $100,000 bond and will be back in court today.
