TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A Terre Haute man was sentenced to 21 years in prison Friday after pleading guilty in a violent assault on a disabled man.
42 year old Jon Marshall pleaded guilty last week to felony robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.
As part of a plea agreement, charges of attempted murder, criminal confinement, battery and pointing a firearm were dismissed.
Marshall was arrested after he and co-defendant Dereck Worthington entered the victim’s home, demanding money, ransacked the home and tied up and beat the man. The victim’s oxygen line was also cut during the attack.
Worthington was sentenced in May to 25 years in prison for his part in the crime.
