TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Just after 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon Terre Haute Police were called to the 2300 block of 3rd Avenue on a report of shots fired.
Officers say that a male victim had been involved in a verbal argument with Robert A. Sanchez of 2305 3rd Avenue.
The male victim indicated that Sanchez showed what appeared to be a handgun and shots were heard.
Sanchez eventually emerged from the residence and was held by police.
Sanchez gave officers permission to search the residence for a handgun, which he claimed was a BB gun.
Officers recovered a CO2 powered BB gun from the residence and Sanchez was arrested on a preliminary charge of Intimidation which is a Level 5 Felony.
He will make an initial court appearance Tuesday.
