New Information On Case Of Brazil Officer Arrested For DUI

CLAY COUNTY, Ind –  New information in the case involving a Brazil police officer arrested this past weekend for allegedly driving under the influence.

An Indiana State Police trooper stopped Brazil Assistant Police Chief Brian Archer for making an unsafe lane change on U.S. 40 in Brazil. Police say that he tested at 09% BAC.  Legally drunk is .08%.

The Clay County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Zak Clapp told us Tuesday morning that they are asking for a Special Prosecutor to handle the case to avoid any possible conflict of interest. At this point no future court dates have yet been set.
