KNOX COUNTY, Ind – Around 9:30 Tuesday morning, Indiana State Police were called to a crash on US 41 in Knox County.
Police say that 21 year old Kayden Riggins, of Washington, was driving southbound on US41 at a high rate of speed and passed a car, but when he reentered the driving lane he and stuck a guard rail.
The driver of the car that Riggins passed tried to avoid the crash but he was not wearing a seat-belt and was ejected from his vehicle and thrown into the passing lane where he was hit and drug for nearly 160 feet.
Riggins was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville where at last
The driver of the other car was not hurt.
A passenger in Riggin’s vehicle was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Police are continuing their investigation.
