PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Indiana State Police say around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday afternoon they were called to an accident on US 41 and Vila Rosa Road.

They say that 73-year-old Carolyn S. Tupes, of Rosedale, attempted to turn south onto US 41 from Vila Rosa Road and failed to yield to a motorcycle traveling southbound on US 41 driven by 69-year-old William J. Trimble of Clinton.

Trimble swerved and unable to avoid the collision.

He was thrown from his motorcycle.

Trimble was flown to an Indianapolis Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
