VIGO COUNTY Ind. – Tuesday morning Vigo County Commissioners awarded about $66,000 in contracts to ‘Bell and Bell’.
The company will tear down 10 properties at various areas throughout the county.
Since bids came in lower than expected, commissioners say they are looking to hit more properties in the fall.
These properties have been abandoned and are becoming a hazard.
County Commissioners also voted to give nearly four acres of land to the Terre Haute Department of Redevelopment.
They will in turn sell the property along south 13th Street to Hydrite Chemical Company for future expansion. The company will be responsible for the removal of any contaminated soil.
The ground was occupied by the Terre Haute Quarter Midget Association which has since moved.
