VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A record number of grants were awarded this week by the Vigo County Education Foundation.
A total 155 grants totaling $91,353 was given to teachers for classroom enrichment opportunities and projects.
Of the 150 teacher-requested grants, 63 are new projects.
Each of the mini grants is for $750 or less.
The Vigo County Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1984 with the mission of granting opportunities for advanced learning.
Since 1984 the foundation has granted more than $2 million to schools and programs in Vigo County.
