INDIANA – State officials have released the latest county by county unemployment numbers and unfortunately several Wabash Valley Counties are in the top ten for the highest number of workers without jobs.

Vermillion County has the highest unemployment rate in the state at 5%.

Sullivan County is in 6^th position with unemployment at 4.2%

Vigo County is in 9^th place at 3.9%

Greene County is 10^th at 3.8%

Parke County is 12^th at 3.8%

Clay County is 29^th at 3.2%

Putnam County 38^th 3.1%

 

The lowest unemployment in the state is Dubois County at 2.1%

The state unemployment rate is at 3.0%
