INDIANAPOLIS — With dozens of medical facilities ordered to suspend non-emergency procedures by the governor, Indiana Right to Life is urging the state to keep an eye on abortion clinics in the state to make sure they are complying.
Governor Holcomb’s order includes abortion clinics as one of many health care providers that must suspended elective procedures during the pandemic.
In states like Texas and Ohio, a federal judge has recently blocked similar orders, saying they infringe on a woman’s right to have an abortion as laid out by the Supreme Court. Both states are appealing the ruling.
