Terre Haute Police Make Arrest In Tuesday Stabbing

TERRE HAUTE, Ind  – Terre Haute Police are investigating a stabbing case.

Tuesday morning officers were called to the 2700 block of North 12th street.

Police say someone was holding another person against his will at gunpoint.

When the suspect put the gun down for a moment, the victim grabbed a knife and cut the suspect in the neck area.

35 year old Jason L. Elder was treated at a local hospital and arrested on felony charges of pointing a firearm, possession of firearm by a serious violent felon, and possession of firearm by a domestic batterer.

Elder is also set to appear Thursday (4/9/20) on an unrelated charge of robbery in connection with an April 6 incident
