TERRE HAUTE, Ind – The Salvation Army in Terre Haute reported a significant increase in requests for assistance since the COVID-19 shelter in place began in Vigo County.
Sue Linden, Envoy for the local Salvation Army, says that they have experienced a significant increase in financial and material need. The increase is expected to continue over several months ahead as people continue to lose their jobs. Linden said that they are one of the few agencies who work with families and individuals who are experiencing a financial crisis in Vigo County.
The group is asking for donations to help them meet the needs of area residents.

Meanwhile the Food Pantry Call Center is open Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 11:00 am.
