TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Indiana State Police and Terre Haute Police were called out Friday afternoon about a suspected pipe bomb.

The device was found by a construction crew working on a vacant home near 22nd and Idaho Streets.

After the discovery, police say they cleared the area as a precaution. They detonated the device around 6:00. Indiana State Police say that it was a hoax device.
