PARKE COUNTY, Ind –  On Monday (05/25/20)  Parke County Deputies were called to a residence in Mecca for a report of a Domestic Situation.

Deputies Attempted to detain 27 year old Timothy R Atkinson.

Police say that he attempted to flee and was acting irrationally.

When officers attempted to handcuff Atkinson he grabbed a Deputies’ Taser and attempted to take it from him.

Atkinson was Tased by another Deputy and was then placed in handcuffs.

He is being charged with Disarming a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Battery on a law enforcement officer.

Atkinson is now being held without bond.
