PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Thursday morning around 10:40 a.m. Parke County Deputies were called were a dog that had been reported stolen was spotted.
Police say that a German Shepard named “Luna” had been stolen from a Lyford residence December of 2019.
The owners said that they recently saw what they thought was their dog in a vehicle and copied down a license plate number.
Deputies found the missing dog at a residence in Universal and confirmed its identity with a microchip scanner.
Luna is back home, and a report will be filed with the Prosecutor’s Office to see if any charges will be filed.
