Terre Haute, In. – A person is in custody after a brief standoff situation Wednesday afternoon. Around 4:45 pm Wednesday Police surrounded a house near 14th and Liberty and repeatedly called for a person in the house to come out. The special response team was called in and shortly after their arrival the person in the home came out and was taken into custody. The THPD has not released any more details of the situation.
