Terre Haute, In. – It was a packed house at a public session held Monday evening by the Vigo County Commissioners to get input from the community as to what to do with the old Vigo County Jail.  The suggestions from the people attending ranged from, tear it down to renovate it for a drug rehab center or new Juvenile Center.  The jail sits right downtown beside the courthouse. The Commissioners say the jail is in poor shape and they are working with DLZ — an engineering consultant — on ways to proceed with the project. The Commissioners say there may more public meetings for input before any decision on the building is made.
