A meeting to explain why Markle Mill Dam will be removed will be held on Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. in Otter Creek Middle School. It had previously been set in the Vigo County Annex.

Commissioners released a statement Tuesday that the meeting is for information only.

“There will be no public comment at this point in time. It’s informational only and we plan to have another meeting at a later date,” the statement said.

The dam is located on Otter Creek at Markle Mill Park.
