WEST VIGO, Indiana (DLC Media) –  A late evening fire has caused traffic issues through the center of West Vigo. At around 10:50 pm a brush fire was reported. Crews from the Sugar Creek Fire Department were forced to stay through the evening in order to make sure that the fire did not start back up.

National Avenue through West Vigo was closed down on the west bound lane for all traffic. It was also advised that no vehicles use the roadway at all. National Avenue has since opened back up.

No injuries were reported.
