CLAY COUNTY, Indiana (DLC Media) – A deputy’s vehicle was struck by a single vehicle over the weekend on US 40. The accident happened on Saturday afternoon. The deputy, identified as Adam Richmond, was performing a regular traffic stop when his vehicle was suddenly struck by another vehicle.

According to the report, the driver, Dylan Barnett of Vigo County, was traveling eastbound toward Brazil when he struck the vehicle.

Richmond was taken to the hospital with minor injuries from the accident. According to the sheriff’s office, Richmond is not dealing with significant injuries.
