TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – Traffic was stopped on the east side of Terre Haute yesterday in an incident between a large truck and a bridge support. US-40 was closed from Keane Ln. to Fruitridge Ave. after a cement truck crashed into the base of the trestle bridge that goes over the highway. The Terre Haute Police Department were forced to shut the area down as an inspection of the bridge was necessary.

Little to no structural damage was found by the inspectors following the crash and the roadway was eventually reopened. It is not completely clear what caused the accident and there has been no report on the driver of the vehicle.
