Downtown Was Packed For The Grand Opening Of The Larry Bird Museum Thursday

Terre Haute, In. – Hundreds of people turned out for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Larry Bird Museum in downtown Terre Haute yesterday.  Speakers at the event included Mayor Brandon Sakbun, Vigo County Commissioner Chris Switzer, and Larry Bird.If you looked up during the ceremonies you saw the Navy’s Blue Angels flying formation over downtown.  The Blur Angels are in town for the air show this weekend and they decided to fly a salute to Larry Legend while here.
The Larry Bird Museum is located inside the Terre Haute Convention Center in downtown Terre Haute and opens to the public today.  Admission is free.
