Terre Haute, In. – GATX Corp will be seeking a tax abatement from the Vigo County Council at the Councils July 11th meeting. GATX is planning to expand its plant at 4400 Maple Ave. in Terre Haute. The Council has named the land at 4400 Maple an Economic Revitalization Area. The company says they will invest $20.5 Million in property improvements and $7 million in personal property improvements and up to an additional 21 jobs. Currently GATX employs 40 workers with a $2.5 million payroll annually.
