Terre Haute, In. – Just after 1am Sunday morning the Terre Haute Police Department received a call about a dog in distress at the intersection of 19th and Ash Streets. When they arrived, they found a dog had fallen into the storm sewer drain and was trapped about 10 feet down. A call went out to the Terre Haute Fire Dept. and Engine 11 was dispatched to the scene. When they arrived, they went to work and was able to rescue the pup. The dog was not injured, and it was released to the care of Code enforcement for further care and evaluation.
