Terre Haute, In. – Sylvia Evinger, 23 of Terre Haute is facing charges of rape a level 3 felony and a charge of domestic battery.  The Indiana State police were called to her home on Wabash Ave. last week on a domestic disturbance call. When they arrived, they found Evinger crying and asking to be taken to jail. She admitted to drinking and hitting her wife in an argument.  She also admitted to raping the woman months ago. Evinger was arrested and appeared in court yesterday and remains in jail under a $10,000 bond with 10% allowed while awaiting a hearing in August.
