Terre Haute, In. – Sheriff John Plasse left some big shoes to fill but the sheriff’s office must move on. Under Indiana Law after a 10 day notice a Caucus of precinct committee persons who are serving the democratic party in Vigo County will determine who will serve the rest of Sheriff Plasse’s term. The Caucus will be held Monday August 12th at 6pm in the Vigo County Council Chambers. Any person who seeks to be considered for Sheriff needs to file a notice of intention with Democratic Central Committee chair Joe Etling 72 hours prior to August 12th.
