Putnamville, In. – The Indiana State Police Post in Putnamville welcomes a new probationary trooper.  Caleb Hughes from Sullivan has begun his probationary training.  During a three-month field training period he will ride with riding with veteran troopers. Following completion of field training, the trooper will be assigned a state police patrol vehicle and will begin solo patrol. Caleb Hughes, a native of Sullivan, Indiana, is a graduate of Sullivan Community High School. After high school he attended Ivy Tech Community College and worked as an Iron worker. Hughes is ready to serve the community.  His primary patrol county will be Clay.
