Terre Haute, In. – Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun will be in Chicago this week attending the Democratic National Convention.  The mayor said he’s only going to be there early in the convention. He says he’s busy in Terre Haute but says being able to attend the DNC is one of the positives of community service.  You may remember after Sakbun was elected mayor last year he received a call from Vice-president Kamala Harris congratulating him.  Harris became the Democratic candidate for President after President Joe Biden stepped aside. The Democratic National Convention begins today and continues through the 22nd. Expected speakers include Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Pete Buttigieg.
