Terre Haute, In. – Tuesday a Mental Health round table was held to discuss ways to change the stigma of mental health in the community. The Vigo County commissioners, the school superintendent, and social workers were part of the discussion. Lieutenant Governor Crouch was in attendance and is using her position to push for better mental health help. Crouch says addressing mental health is important, no matter how old a Hoosier is because their life matters. Many of the people in attendance agreed that mental health needs to be addressed in schools. After the roundtable, it was evident both local and statewide officials are pushing for funding and more readily available therapists, specifically for youth.
