Terre Haute, In. – Garfield High School served the northern area of Terre Haute between 1912 and 1971.  On Tuesday former students and community leaders gathered in 12 Points for the unveiling of the Purple Eagle Plaza.  The Garfield High school mascot was the Purple Eagle.  Local Artist Bill Wolfe was commissioned to sculpt the Purple Eagle Mascot which is on display in the plaza.  The work on the project began 4 years ago.
