Parke County, In. – Just after noon Wednesday the Parke County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a plane crash southwest of Turkey Run. When Deputies and a crew from the Marshall Fire Department arrived on scene, they found that a Cessna 170a had come down in a corn field and flipped onto it’s top. The pilot was an 83-year-old man who was flying from Chicago to Kentucky when his engine began to sputter over Parke County. He escaped with only scrapes on his arm. After getting out of the plane he reported the crash. The NTSB and FAA have been notified.
